Understanding Chakras and Energy
Chakras are energy centres within the body that correspond to specific areas and functions. There are seven main chakras, each located along the spine, starting from the base and moving up to the crown of the head. These energy centres are responsible for regulating the flow of energy throughout the body, influencing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
When chakras are balanced and aligned, energy flows freely, promoting health and harmony. However, if a chakra is blocked or imbalanced, it can lead to physical or emotional issues. By understanding the chakras and learning how to balance them, individuals can enhance their overall energy levels and well-being.
By bringing awareness to these energy centres and working to release any blockages, (in very simple ways) individuals can experience greater vitality, emotional stability, and spiritual connection.
Throughout this course you will begin shifting energy within yourself by using simple techniques, meditation and energy healing. I'll guide you every step of the way with energy so don't worry if this is all very new to you. Just have fun with it because that's a great energy to start with :)
The Benefits of Balanced Chakras
There are so many wonderful benefits to having balanced chakras. When our chakras are balanced, health and vitality go hand in hand.
We feel great physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Life just seems to flow. We might notice that we’re more resilient in the face of challenges, our mood feels lighter, and our mind feels clearer.
We can find ourselves being content with the type of work or job that we do, and money is always available whenever we may need to use it.

True story! Your chakras can affect your life internally and externally — money included, because everything is energy, you see.
With balanced chakras, all of our needs are met, and we can travel through life easily and happily with a healthy, loving relationship by our side. Life can feel so glorious, so simple, so worth living, and a whole lot of fun.
You might also notice your intuition becoming sharper, your relationships improving naturally, and a sense of trust in the flow of life that feels deeply comforting. It’s like moving from a place of tension and struggle to one of openness and possibility.
How To Know When Chakras Are Not Balanced
It can be quite easy to recognise when our chakras may be out of balance.
We might feel “off” or “not quite ourselves.” We can feel tired much of the time, easily stressed, and often just can’t be bothered with the day ahead. Work could seem meaningless, with payday already spoken for by bills, groceries, and just keeping up with life.
There could also be unhealthy relationships that drain us, or perhaps an empty loneliness with no relationship at all.
Blocked or imbalanced chakras can cause physical pains, tension, and even illness in our body. We may find ourselves stuck in repeating cycles — hard times, difficult situations, or feeling like life is always uphill.
Our external reality often reflects what’s happening internally. If our energy centres are blocked, we may see that block reflected back in our relationships, finances, work, and overall sense of fulfilment.
Who Can Achieve Balanced Chakras?
The beautiful thing is that everyone has the ability to clear and balance their own chakras.
All it takes is some awareness, gentle practice, and a little education about chakra energy.
You don’t have to be a healer, guru, or spiritual expert.
You just have to be willing to try, to feel, to explore, and to reconnect with the natural flow of energy within you.
It’s often far simpler than we realise — and so empowering to know that you can influence your own energy and your own life.
What Are Chakras?
Everything you could possibly imagine that could fit into your human experience can be divided into seven categories.
Each category is associated with a particular chakra, and there are seven main chakras of the human body.
These chakras represent not only particular parts of your physical body, but also particular parts of your external reality.
For example, your sense of safety, your ability to express yourself, your connection to joy and creativity — all of these correspond to specific chakras.
That’s pretty cool stuff!
Where Do Chakras Live?
Even though we have hundreds of smaller chakras and energy points throughout the body, the seven main chakras live in a vertical line along your spine — starting from the base and moving all the way up to the crown of your head.
These seven key energy centres create a central energy channel, sometimes called the sushumna in ancient teachings, which is like an energetic superhighway connecting your earthly existence with your higher consciousness.
How Do Chakras Affect Us?
Each chakra distributes energy to certain areas of our body and areas of our lives.
When a chakra is balanced, it’s distributing energy efficiently to its associated organs, body parts, glands — and even to the matching parts of your external reality.
For example, when our root chakra is balanced, we can experience good health and ease in our lower back, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.
At the same time, we might feel secure in our jobs, our home, our finances, and feel self-confident in what we do.
However, when our root chakra is blocked, we might experience financial struggle, difficulty finding or enjoying work, stressful living situations, and even pain or discomfort in the lower parts of the body.
As you can see from just this one example, our chakras can affect us inside and out.
This really is a big deal — because your chakra energy can either be building you up, or quietly pulling you down in every area of your life.
